Draftfcb Chicago Receives 5th Recognition of 2010 for Great Workplace Programming

draftfcbDraftfcb Chicago was honored today as a recipient of the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award for Illinois, an honor sponsored by state psychological associations with support from the American Psychological Association. Draftfcb was one of only two recipients in Illinois, alongside Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, the honoree in the non-profit category.

The PHWA is presented to organizations that demonstrate a commitment to programs and policies that foster employee health and well-being while enhancing organizational performance. The award is based on the organization’s workplace practices in the following five areas:

  • Employee Involvement
  • Work-Life Balance
  • Employee Growth and Development
  • Health and Safety
  • Recognition

“We take great pride in our development programs, leadership programs, work/life balance programs and countless opportunities our employees have to give back to our community,” said Robin Rosen, Director of Human Resources for Draftfcb Chicago. “But, these offerings would not be successful without the active input and dedication of our employees. We are thriving workplace because of them.”

Participating companies took part in a rigorous evaluation process that, in addition to an application and anonymous employee surveys, included state psychological association representatives touring the workplace and talking with individuals at various levels throughout the organization.

This is Draftfcb’s fifth workplace honor this year, and twelfth such award since 2006. The agency’s 2010 workplace honors include:

  • Crain’s Chicago Business “Best Places to Work Reader’s Choice Award”
  • “Best Places to Work in Illinois” by The Illinois State Chamber of Commerce, the Illinois Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Managers and The Business Ledger
  • Named one of the “101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” in the Chicagoland area by The National Association for Business Resources (NABR) for the fifth straight year
  • Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility in the greater Chicago area
