The 11 4A's Marketing and Media Communities encompass areas that range from medium-specific (e.g., print media) to cross-media (e.g., entertainment marketing) to media disciplinary (media measurement).

Community members are experts in their respective fields, and meet to discuss and solve industry issues and draft educational bulletins for all 4A's members. The committees also author the 13-volume Guide to… series.

Branded Content
The 4A’s Branded Content Community acts to encourage the leadership of the advertising industry in the developing field of entertainment marketing and branded content.

Digital Marketing Media
The 4A's Digital Marketing Committee will define, develop and grow the digital marketing ecosystem, including display advertising, search, social, mobile marketing and technology-enabled ad platforms such as networks and exchanges.

Local Video/Audio
Represents the interests of the local broadcast television, cable and radio buying community in its dealing with stations, sales representatives, research and technology suppliers, and any other industries with whom the buying community interacts.

Media Data Management
Takes a leadership role in influencing vendor research and development, system integration and business process improvement through the use of technology.

Media Leadership Council
The 4A’s Media Leadership Council reviews and assesses the major media and communications issues of the day, as they affect both agencies and clients, and communicates positions to the 4A's Board and member agencies.

Media Measurement
Critically reviews the industry’s information and research systems from the perspective of suitability to the decision process of which it becomes a part.

Mid-Size Agency Media Directors
Creates a free forum for the exchange of information among the mid-size member agencies and keeps a watchful eye, so as to be aware of any changes in media practices that might impact member agencies.

National TV & Radio
The objective of the 4A's National TV & Radio Community is to increase the effectiveness of network advertising.

Next Generation Publishing
The objectives of the 4A’s Next Generation Publishing Committee are to create a free forum for exchange of information among the member agencies and to serve in an ambassadorial capacity to the newspaper and magazine industry publishers.

Out-of-Home Media
Maintains a watchful eye for innovations and changes in out-of-home media practices which affect member agencies and reviews industry procedures and developments, recommending improvements and best practices where appropriate.
