REPORTS TO:  Director of Creative Services

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Print Buyer is responsible for controlling the flow and quality of all assigned print work through the agency to our clients, working directly with Account Service, Creative and Production.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Is responsible for all aspects of quality control on assigned print projects.

Identifies state-of-the-art vendors and fulfillment resources.

Attends press checks, as necessary.

Uses new quick-time estimating software.

Provides accurate estimating and buying of printed materials.

Handles vendor bidding and selection.

Approves billing from vendors for printed materials.

Creates production timetables in coordination with Traffic and outside vendors who are handling fulfillment for all assigned work.

Works with the Traffic Manager to ensure timely and accurate workflow and proofreading.

Consults with the Senior Traffic Manager and Production Art Manager on challenging projects/jobs.

Works directly with Art Directors during the design phase to provide recommendations and specifications for creative.

Senior Print Buyer must have the durability, flexibility and absolute ability to manage the work through to completion.
