For more than 45 years, the 4A's Institute of Advanced Advertising Studies (IAAS) program has been training the best and the brightest in the business. This course is the perfect vehicle for rising stars to learn the ins and outs of the business, including:
- The digital space
- Positioning and branding
- Team building
- The media landscape
- Creative brief writing and creative development
- Presentation skills
Best of all, students develop their skills by working on an actual client assignment in a team environment.
IAAS programs are comprehensive evening courses, approximately 13-to-16 weeks long, and are designed for agency professionals with one-to-four years of experience. Students attend lectures each week and are required, through teamwork, to develop a total advertising program in their "mini-agencies" for a given product or service. Teams compete by "presenting" their work to the "client."
Eight IAAS courses are held throughout the United States, in Philadelphia, New York, New England, Atlanta, Northern California, Southern California, Minneapolis and Chicago. In addition, the 4A's launched a special "Virtual IAAS" program in 2011 that offers the same comprehensive and immersive experience, right from the convenience of the student's desk.
