2017 Chicago Institute of Advanced Advertising Studies

The 4A’s Institute of Advanced Advertising Studies (IAAS) program has trained some of the best and brightest industry professionals in the business. In fact, many of today’s top agency executives are IAAS graduates.

As the preeminent advertising agency training program in the country, the 4A’s Chicago Institute of Advanced Advertising Studies is the perfect vehicle for your next generation of advertising leaders to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the advertising industry. The program includes many of the most highly recognized industry experts as guest lecturers in their specific fields, providing students with the tools required and application to a real-life client-sponsored case study in competition with their peers.

Forty of Chicago’s best young professionals will form five teams to compete to win the business. They’ll follow a 10-week curriculum that parallels key steps in a new business pitch, running from March 29 through May 31, 2017. Teams meet every Wednesday night at host agencies or Medill’s Chicago campus to learn and develop ideas. Final team presentations will be May 31, immediately followed by announcement of the winning team and a celebration of everyone’s success.

Senior agency leaders will instruct and advise, along with Northwestern University Medill IMC professors. 4A’s IAAS alums will mentor teams.

This year’s challenge is focused on Cap’n Crunch, the iconic cereal brand from Quaker Oats / PepsiCo. Teams will work with the PepsiCo brand team to further strengthen the brand’s connection to its most important community, young adult males.

  • 4A’s members: $1,500 per person for the first two registrations; $1,300 for each registration thereafter
  • Non-4A’s Members: $2,000 per person for the first two registrations; $1,800 for each registration thereafter
