A matchup between the father of advertising, David Ogilvy, and the man who enticed us to “Think Different” for Apple, Lee Clow, takes place in this week’s final round of the ADversaries competition. The contest, developed by Sanders\Wingo, aims to answer the question, “Who is the greatest creative of all time?” Open voting takes place exclusively on the ADversaries Facebook page.
“There have been some close rounds, some mopping up of the competition, and love from agencies pulling for their own,” Executive Creative Director Shanteka Sigers said. “Somehow though, it seems a little profound that we end up with ‘Don’t Leave Home Without It’ against the ‘Energizer Bunny.”
The challenge matched two writers and two art directors against each other each week. Advertising greats such as Jeff Goodby, David Kennedy and Geoff Edwards survived earlier rounds. Sanders\Wingo developed illustrated interpretations for each entry.
The team working on the ADversaries page includes Group Creative Director Tynesha Williams, Associate Creative Director/Art Director Craig Brimm, Associate Creative Director/Copywriter Phil Davies, Interactive Art Designer Cedric Guerin and Junior Designer Brandon Mike.
Voting ends Friday, July 27, at 4 PM CST at facebook.com/voteADversaries.
