Ogilvy Reigns in Sanders\Wingo's ADversaries Championship

Sanders\WingoFather of Advertising David Ogilvy proved too much for Lee Clow in the final round of Sanders\Wingo’s ADversaries competition. The contest, which sought to answer the question “Who is the greatest creative of all time?” came down to a narrow 26-vote victory.

“It looks like the advertising industry holds more loyalty than many might imagine,” Executive Creative Director Shanteka Sigers said. “We received a lot of comments about how these men inspired individual careers. In the end, the longer legacy prevailed.”

The challenge matched two writers and two art directors against each other every week for one month. The agency doesn’t rule out a subsequent competition to continue the friendly, intra-industry match-ups.

“This literally started out as an internal team argument,” Sigers said. “Naturally, the contest prompted additional grumbling about those not included. Would other entries change the outcome? Ogilvy would be hard to bring down, but it might be fun to start a few more debates.”

The team working on the ADversaries page includes Group Creative Director Tynesha Williams, Associate Creative Director/Art Director Craig Brimm, Associate Creative Director/Copywriter Phil Davies, Interactive Art Designer Cedric Guerin and Junior Designer Brandon Mike.
