Klaus Heesch, a digital creative director known for his work on the Cannes Lion award-winning Audi's Art of the Heist campaign has joined The Gate Worldwide. As Senior Digital Creative Director (a new position) he will lead The Gate's new digital practice, creating game changing digital with longevity for new and existing clients.
“Klaus’s digital work isn’t technology driven. It’s idea driven. And I love his ideas," said David Bernstein, Executive Creative Director at The Gate Worldwide. "I was a fan of his Audi ‘Art of the Heist’ work and his HP ‘HedgeGames’ experiential site, way before I knew who did it.”
Additional career highlights aside from Audi and HP/DreamWorks (including HedgeGames.com a gaming microsite promoting HP’s association with the feature film ‘Over the Hedge”), he was the Interactive Creative Director for Disney’s PhotoPass.com, planning and designing a large, content-managed e-commerce Web site which tied live, in-park photography with online photo- fulfillment. He also worked on the CSI: Experience traveling interactive museum exhibit and the interactive design and development of the Verizon’s FiOS “My Home 2.0” campaign. An artist and musician, Klaus wrote the only song heard in the indie film "The Blair Witch Project". Prior to joining The Gate he was Creative Director/Owner of Juicy Temples in Orlando, a branding and interactive design firm he founded in 1998.
"What attracted me to The Gate is that they are willing to take chances with their strategy and their work," said Heesch. "The agency is run by incredibly talented creative and business people and operates with transparency. It is matched with a strong client base and an incredible network of partner firms throughout the world."
Klaus's work has been honored with numerous awards, including the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival, New York Book Show, the ADDYs, and the Marketing and Interactive Excellence (MIXX) Awards.
“Klaus is a rare combination of creative thinker and creative manager," added Bernstein. "He is the perfect person to grow The Gate's digital practice."
