Doremus Celebrates 110 Years Remaining Relevant In An Ever-Changing Business World 

New York…July 11, 2013…There were a lot of “firsts” in 1903 when Clarence Barron created an advertising agency to satisfy sponsors of his Barron’s and Wall Street Journal empire. He named the agency “Doremus” after Harry Doremus, his one and only account executive, because he thought the name Doremus sounded brilliant and business-like. Harry’s name proved a fortuitous choice. Doremus prospered, as did other innovations born that year including the Wright Brothers’ first flight and a new baseball team called the Yankees.

One of the very few agencies to break the century mark, Doremus has repeatedly found ways to remain relevant by recalibrating its offering to better service its clients, and has evolved from a financial specialist into one of the world’s leading Business Communications agencies. Today its client list includes a number of Fortune 100 companies.
