NEW YORK (July 10, 2013) – Erwin Penland today announced it has bolstered its leadership team with the addition of Tim Scholler as senior vice president, director – shopper experience and Shantanu Rana as senior vice president – group account director. Both will be based in the New York office of the 400-person agency, which also has operations in Detroit and Greenville, S.C.
Scholler brings nearly 20 years of high-level marketing strategy work to his role at Erwin Penland, having prior experience with a Who’s Who of top retail and consumer brands. Rana has more than 15 years of experience assisting clients with their technology and business challenges, including six years with renowned digital agency R/GA as well as Mercer Consulting and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Prior to joining Erwin Penland Scholler was at MARS Advertising as SVP, Strategic Planning, where he established and built a department of 12 before moving to the post of SVP, Research & Innovation in the firm’s consulting practice. Scholler has worked for and with some of the most recognizable brand marketers in the world, including Procter & Gamble, Campbell’s, Colgate, Coca Cola, MillerCoors, Hewlett-Packard, Pfizer, Wal-Mart and Walgreen’s.
Rana most recently was a partner at digital agency Rosetta working within the financial services category, leading a number of engagements including Citizens Bank, Fidelity, AXIS Capital and BBH. Prior to that he served as managing director with R/GA, overseeing relationships such as Verizon Wireless, PwC and Intel. He honed his expertise in project management during stints with TheMarkets.com, Mercer Consulting, Scient and PricewaterhouseCoopers, and also has experience in private wealth management from his time at Bernstein Global Wealth Management.
