AUSTIN, TEXAS – July 24, 2013 – Brian Wheelis, formerly Global Marketing Solutions Manager for Facebook, is joining McGarrah Jessee as Media Engagement Director.
In his role, Wheelis will be leading the media engagement team and aiding the entire agency in navigating what has become a near constantly shifting media landscape, where the lines between paid, earned and owned media are increasingly blurred and agencies must be nimble and adaptable.

At Facebook, Wheelis led national account teams and developed and expanded ad agency and consumer brand relationships for the social media pioneer.
Prior to Facebook, Brian was Global Media Optimization Manager for Dell. In that role, Brian managed and led media agency relationships and contracts for worldwide markets.
Before moving to the client side, Brian spent years on the agency side representing clients such as MasterCard, AT&T, Nestle and Continental Airlines. His most recent agency-side position was SVP/Group Media Director at GSD&M, directly leading a large team of planners and buyers and providing strategic leadership for the entire agency. He also spent time at The Richards Group and Optimedia.
