Kerry Mitchell Named Growth Driver For Maxus Canada 

TORONTO — Kerry Mitchell, a media executive with extensive industry experience, especially with a range of major Canadian magazine titles, has been named Growth Driver for Maxus Canada, a new position for the GroupM agency.
The announcement was made by Ann Stewart, President of Maxus Canada, and Louis Jones, CEO of Maxus North America.  Mitchell, who begins her new assignment immediately, will report to Stewart.
“Kerry is a strong leader, brand builder, communicator and sales strategist who has successfully launched and transformed operations in print, digital and other media platforms,” Stewart said in making the announcement.  “She also has worked with clients from every sector to achieve measurable results for their media investments.  I look forward to working with her and to the many contributions she will make to our Canadian operation.”
In her new role Mitchell will focus on broadening Maxus’s client base in Canada and supporting existing clients with new initiatives for growth.
“New business is the lifeblood of any agency operation,” Jones said.  “Kelly is a total professional who is well-versed in the challenges and complexities of bringing in new clients as well as recognizing and increasing organic business opportunities.”
Prior to joining Maxus, Mitchell had an extensive career primarily on the media vendor side of the marketing business. She is a former VP of Rogers Media where she led most of the major women’s consumer publishing brands including Chatelaine (English and French), Flare, Today’s Parent, and Glow, among others.  She also has extensive business-to-business expertise as the former Chief Operating Officer of InBusiness Media.  She is a former VP of Telemedia and Transcontinental Publishing where she led Canadian Living, Style at Home and other titles.
