LM&O Readies FVCbank for Mobile Surge with New Responsive Website 

ARLINGTON, Va. (Oct. 17, 2013) – With mobile banking on an upswing, First Virginia Community Bank (FVCbank) has unveiled a new website, designed and developed by LM&O Advertising of Arlington to provide a seamless experience across smartphones, tablets, and computers. Using techniques of responsive web design (RWD), LM&O produced a single site that adapts to any device, presenting an intuitive, user-friendly environment regardless of screen size and resolution.

“With effective responsive design, the visitor always feels at home,” said Mike Kapetanovic, director, digital at LM&O.  “They don’t need to download an app or reorient themselves each time they view the site on a different device.”

A July survey by the American Bankers Association found that eight percent of customers prefer banking on a mobile device over any other method—a 30 percent increase from 2012. Nearly one-third of US adults use mobile phones for banking, according to thePew Internet & American Life Project.

FVCbank’s new website caters to time-strapped customers and prospects with its prominent placement of the most sought-after features and information, including account sign-in, interest rates, and the bank’s phone number.  To help people reach their destination in fewer clicks, LM&O organized the site's content based on visitors' priorities, created a logical navigation, and inserted calls to action that point visitors in the direction of what they need.

The revamped site reflects FVCbank’s updated brand identity, which began rolling out last year with ads and collateral featuring photography of wild animals. Most recently, FVCbank introduced a tagline: Success has a bank.

“While ensuring that visitors have an efficient, productive experience, the website conveys FVCbank’s distinct personality and communicates its position as a thriving, innovative business that enables others to thrive,” said LM&O President Chris Laughlin.
