NEW YORK, NY, May 21, 2013— Horizon Media, the largest independent media services agency in the world and the fastest growing in the industry, today announced that Marianne Gambelli, a highly respected industry leader and 22-Year NBC Universal veteran, is joining the company as EVP, Chief Investment Officer. Gambelli succeeds Aaron Cohen, EVP and Chief Media Negotiation Officer, who moves to a senior advisory role within the company that reports to Bill Koenigsberg, President, CEO and Founder of Horizon Media.
Gambelli comes to Horizon Media from NBC Universal where she was president of NBC broadcast sales and responsible for the company's network primetime, news and sports advertising. She has demonstrated leadership in advertising sales, marketing, strategic planning and multi-platform portfolio development, and was involved in the allocation of over $7BN in media investments during her tenure at NBCU.
In her role, Gambelli will partner with senior leadership to lead all offline media activation strategies to monetize client investments, seek out new and emerging technologies, new media research capabilities, and develop multi-year and multi-platform media deals. Additionally she will drive the creation of new revenue-generating media assets for the agency and will be a member of Horizon Media’s executive board. The position will report directly to Bill Koenigsberg, President, CEO and Founder of Horizon Media.
