Sullivan Higdon & Sink Adds Nearly 20 New Employees for SONIC® Account 

July 23, 2013 (KANSAS CITY, Mo.) – Sullivan Higdon & Sink (SHS) has expanded its team with the addition of several employees dedicated to the SONIC Drive In account. Earlier this year, SONIC hired SHS to handle its on-lot and store communications, menu board design, and field and local store marketing.

Diane Young joins as account director. Before coming to SHS, Young was the director of marketing at Treat America Food Services, and brings more than 25 years of experience to her new position. Jessica Bukowski, formerly of Bernstein-Rein, joins as brand manager and will manage point-of-purchase and menu efforts. Karen Alexander is assistant brand manager, and will provide strategic account support; she most recently worked at Farmers Insurance. Blair Martinez joins as team coordinator, providing day-to-day support for the team; she previously worked at Barkley.

Two new associate creative directors will serve the client in various capacities. Jerad Nun, who earned his bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Park University, will manage on-lot and point-of-purchase materials. Michael Armstrong, a recent graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute, will specialize in motion graphics.

Shaun Hughes, brand contact manager, will manage media buying and comes from PlattForm. Katie Heinerikson, media coordinator, will assist in direct mail efforts; previously she worked at Gragg Advertising.

Heather Winker, senior field marketing manager, comes from Walz Tetrick Advertising with more than 20 years of experience and will lead the field marketing team, which includes: Crystal Barnhart, formerly with T-Mobile, who brings over 15 years of field marketing experience to SHS; Cayci Johnson, who will be responsible for serving markets in the Eastern region and comes from Companies of Service Foods, an all-natural regional food service; and Lindsay Hertz, who brings more than 20 years in the marketing, restaurants and service industries to SHS, will support field marketing initiatives in the Western region.

Lyndsey Carrel, assistant field marketing manager for the Northwest region, and Claire Kaufman, field marketing coordinator, will assist with team communication in the field.

Lynn Sloan joins as an electronic artist, and has more than 25 years of prepress experience. She most recently worked at Zillner. Jill Canon, formerly with VML, brings 20 years of experience to her new position as editor. Erica Rasnik, senior project manager, Jamie Thompson, project manager, and Kyle Holt, project coordinator, will support the project flow for the business.
