Roberts Communications Acquires Brandtatorship

ROCHESTER, N.Y. January 12, 2017 ― Roberts Communications, a full-service integrated communications firm, announced today the acquisition of Brandtatorship, an award-winning digital branding agency. The acquisition satisfies a number of strategic business growth initiatives for Roberts led by Brandtatorship’s creative, digital and new business expertise in similar business-to-business verticals such as health care, financial services, and technology. The firm’s clients include Brite Computers, The Memorial Art Gallery of the University of Rochester, Heinen’s Fine Foods and local franchises Moe’s Southwest Grill and Smashburger. The acquisition deepens Roberts’ digital marketing, branding, and analytics offerings for clients.

“We’re excited to welcome the team to our family, and this is further evidence of our relentless commitment to create meaningful change for our clients,” said Bill Murtha, Roberts CEO. “This addition provides our clients with more creative, digital, and branding firepower, deepens our core capabilities, and will help fuel our continued growth.”

Brandtatorship’s digital, branding, and creative expertise provides Roberts with an infusion of talent led by founders Courtney Smith Pulire and Joseph Mayernik. They will each join the leadership team with Smith Pulire serving as Director of Business Development and Mayernik as Creative Director. “Joe and I are thrilled to join the Roberts team and our combined strength will benefit our clients,” said Courtney Smith Pulire. In total, all five Brandtatorship employees will be integrated into the Roberts creative, account service, and digital departments.

“As we continued our exploration, it became evident to us that our firms shared similar approaches to client service and cultural synergies,” said Katrina Busch, Roberts President. “I expect the addition and integration of the Brandtatorship team to be seamless and our broadened agency expertise and resources will serve their clients, as well as ours, very well.”

The integration of Brandtatorship is anticipated to boost Roberts 2017 capitalized billings by approximately $2.5 million. The agency now has 66 employees serving dozens of multinational clients in the health, wealth, technology, and industrial sectors.
