Draftfcb Names Mary Gilbert Head of Agency’s West Coast CRM Practice

draftfcbDraftfcb announced today that Mary Gilbert, formerly President of Free Range Content, has joined the agency’s San Francisco office to lead the West Coast’s booming CRM practice in the newly created position of SVP, Director of CRM. She will oversee the continued development of the agency’s overall CRM offering across all three West Coast offices—Orange County, California; San Francisco and Seattle—while working with clients on CRM strategy.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Mary join the agency,” said Dominic Whittles, President of Draftfcb’s West Coast offices. “She has a tremendous track record of leading cross-discipline teams and developing CRM programs that put the consumer first to achieve clients’ business goals. Her enthusiasm for finding consumer-driven solutions is absolutely contagious.”

Gilbert has focused her career on developing accountable marketing practices from both the agency and client side including Mindjet, MRM, Euro RSCG, Miller/Huber Relationship Marketing and a number of start ups. As Director of Client Services at MRM, she helped take the San Francisco office from a project-based creative boutique to a multidimensional integrated agency with unrivaled strategic and analytic capabilities on the West Coast. At MRM, Gilbert played a key role in the strategic development of Microsoft’s global CRM practice and integrated marketing capability.

“Helping clients build integrated, accountable marketing operations has been the most rewarding aspect of my career,” said Gilbert. “An agency’s ability to deliver great solutions is fundamentally down to the talent, culture, integration philosophy and commitment to a data-driven approach. Draftfcb is getting it right and I’m excited about joining this exceptional team.”

Draftfcb’s West Coast CRM practice handles work for clients such as Pacific Gas & Electric, HP and Electronic Arts, who earlier this year selected the agency to lead its North American CRM business across all game titles.

“Executing CRM programs on behalf of our clients allows us to plan more holistically, and adds the Customer Intelligence discipline to the overall team,” said Whittles. “Taken together, our work becomes more thoughtful, more efficient, more accountable and more fun.”
