Draftfcb Chicago Hires Ken Muench as Senior Vice President, Director of Multicultural Planning

draftfcbDraftfcb Chicago announced today that it has further strengthened its multicultural practice with the hiring of Ken Muench as Senior Vice President, Director of Multicultural Planning, who officially joined the agency December 1 from Grupo Gallegos. In partnership with Simon El Hage, SVP Group Management Director of the agency’s multicultural practice and Eduardo Dehesa-Conde, SVP Group Creative Director, Muench will lead multicultural efforts from a planning standpoint, deepening this resource with current clients and exploring new opportunities with prospective and new clients.

“I am excited and proud to have a partner like Ken, one of the most reputable planners in the business, join us to expand our knowledge and further fortify our cross-cultural practice for Draftfcb Chicago,” said El Hage, who joined the agency in October of 2008 from Lopez Negrete.

Muench brings with him over 13 years of experience, working at Hispanic-based agencies including Casanova Pendrill and most recently Grupo Gallegos. As the director of planning and research at Grupo, Muench was responsible for managing the planning function and was integral in deciding the agency’s future business opportunities and strategic direction.

At Draftfcb, one of the world’s largest communication agency networks and the first to operate under one P&L globally, cross-cultural communications is the natural evolution from multicultural marketing and represents a solution-neutral and channel-agnostic approach; fully integrated, it does not function as a separate unit within the agency.

“I came to Draftfcb because I truly believe their fully integrated model is the ideal approach to multicultural marketing. There’s no better way to infuse this thinking than in the planning department where insights and strategy evolve into an integrated creative solution,” said Muench.
