Mindshare Canada Names Jodi Kasten Managing Director, Digital

mindshare logoJodi Kasten, an executive with more than 15 years of experience in marketing, communications, sales and digital media, was named Managing Director, Digital for Mindshare Canada, a new position.

The announcement was made today by Karen Nayler, President of Mindshare Canada. Kasten, whose appointment is effective immediately, will report to Nayler.

“The pace of Mindshare Canada’s growth, particularly in the digital area, combined with the increasing complexity and importance of this space led us to expand our leadership team and create this new position,” Nayler said. “Jodi is a great addition for us and her background and experience are a perfect fit for the job.”

In her new role, Kasten will be responsible for Mindshare’s entire digital services, working directly with our client teams and clients to build effective digital communications plans and digitally integrated strategies.

Kasten joins Mindshare from The Weather Network, where she was Senior Vice President of Marketing. In this role, she built a strategic marketing plan and introduced innovative marketing techniques and disciplines to engage current audiences and capture new ones. Kasten also has extensive experience on the client side of the media/marketing relationship, holding senior executive marketing positions with Microsoft Canada, MSN and SAP. While at Microsoft she worked in a variety of marketing and sales positions, most recently heading up online advertising sales.

She is a graduate of Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
