4A’s Forms New Digital Operations and Technology Committee

New York, NY – July 23, 2015 – The 4A’s, the leading trade association representing the advertising agency business, today announced that it has put together a Digital Operations and Technology Committee to address issues related to the digital supply chain for its member agencies.

The committee—a critical group given the growth of digital and ad tech and their use—will advocate for the agency operations community by providing internal and external education and focusing on key digital operations issues and technologies as they arise. The committee will work closely with partner 4A’s committees and task groups including Media Measurement, Data Management and Mobile to enable development of best practices.

The Digital Operations and Technology Committee will be expanded once the group starts to work together to include other agencies and appropriate leaders. It will also help shape 4A’s positions on these important issues, collaborating within the 4A’s and with the ANA, IAB, TAG, MRC and other industry bodies.

Bill Tucker, EVP, Media Relations, 4A’s, said, “In this age of digital and technological proliferation throughout the industry, we saw a need for the work of this committee. We formed the group to fill that void and to provide our member agencies with the tools they need to operate successfully in the digital world.”

Serving as committee chairman will be Joe Barone, managing partner, digital operations, GroupM Connect, who added, “We look forward to tackling these issues on behalf of the 4A’s and working with organizations and groups throughout the industry to support the growth and development of digital marketing communications by formulating and disseminating best practices.”

Rounding out the DOT committee membership is a stellar group of agency professionals, including:

  • Adam Gitlin, global managing director, data group, Annalect
  • Jen Soch, EVP, managing director, digital investment, Dentsu Aegis
  • Eric Warburton, director, ad operations, Horizon Media
  • Mitchell Weinstein, SVP, managing partner of ad operations, Magna Global/IPG Mediabrands
  • Julian Zilberbrand, EVP, activation standards, insights and technology, ZenithOptimedia
