Dentsu Aegis Network Media Reorganizes and Makes Three C-Suite Appointments

DAN Media restructures to better align to client need, appointing first Chief Programmatic, Chief Technology and Chief Data Officers to lead strategy as all media becomes data-led and tech-enabled

NEW YORK — As client demand for consistent and reliable data and technology solutions increases, today Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) announced that it is restructuring its Media business to fully align its programmatic capabilities and better scale its proprietary technology and data solutions. This restructure will ensure that DAN’s media offering is operating strategically as one holistic solution that is data-led and tech-enabled, with identity and analytics at its core.

As part of this restructure, Doug Ray, CEO DAN Media, Americas, announced that Christina Mohebbi will be promoted to Chief Programmatic Officer, Nathan Carver will be promoted to Chief Technology Officer and Akash Jairath will become Chief Data Officer. Mapping a new leadership team to its core capabilities will guarantee successful alignment and optimization of the DAN Media strategy. To further support this new executive leadership team, it was recently announced that Carat, a key brand within DAN’s media business, named Peter Vandre, Chief Analytics Officer. Peter joined Carat from Merkle, the data and performance giant which is also part of the Dentsu Aegis Network. Bringing Merkle’s analytics and identity capabilities closer to the media offering will further differentiate it in the marketplace and allow it to better support client needs.

Christina Mohebbi was formally Managing Director of Amnet. In her new role as Chief Programmatic Officer, Christina will ensure that Dentsu Programmatic services each of our agency brands, as well as our direct client relationships through Accordant Media. She will also make sure that our programmatic experts within the group are operating through a consistent set of best-in-class technology and data providers, married with Dentsu’s proprietary platforms such as M1. M1 is Dentsu Aegis Network’s proprietary people-based insights, planning, activation, and measurement platform mapped to 242 million U.S. adult consumers.

Nathan Carver was most recently Chief Technology Officer of Amnet. In his new role as Chief Technology Officer, Dentsu Media, he will have expanded responsibilities, overseeing the technology relationships that underpin Dentsu’s core media tools and platforms across all media brands.

Akash Jairath’s prior role was Chief Data Officer of Amnet. In his new role as Chief Data Officer, Dentsu Media, he will look to best leverage data across agencies, focusing on productization and monetization of data assets and partnerships.

Doug Ray, CEO, DAN Media, Americas said: “By elevating these exceptional leaders, we will create an even more consistent approach and greater alignment of technology and data across all media brands and departments. This will allow us to leverage the full benefit of Dentsu’s collective presence and scale in the marketplace to meet the evolving needs of our clients.”
