The 4A’s River States Council Board of Governors cordially invites you to join us for its annual 4A’s Agency Leadership Series dinner program featuring their very special guest Eric Mower, Chairman & CEO of Mower. A fiercely independent full-service agency, Mower has offices in New York, Boston, Atlanta, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Buffalo, Rochester, Albany and Syracuse and nearly 200 employees. Behind their trademarked philosophy of “Brand as Friend” (building brand relationships based on affection, relevance and trust), Mower is the only full-service agency ranked in Ad Age, B2B Marketing, PR Week and Brand Activation. With experience across 6 major industry and audience sectors, some of Mower’s nationally recognized clients include: Bryer’s Ice Cream, Dixie paper products, Freightliner, Ford, Key Bank and Labatt Brewing Company.

The 4A’s Agency Leadership Series is a program that enables agency senior executives to hear from their peers who have successfully dealt with the challenges facing agencies today. Speakers are featured who have faced very difficult circumstances with their agencies (e.g., client losses, restructuring, creating new corporate cultures or generating growth) and have transitioned them into robust and thriving enterprises. Importantly, these sessions are meant to be intimate environments for attendees to engage with the speaker and generate discussion and obtain insights that will be useful in managing their agencies.
Eric serves as MOWER’s senior strategic marketing and tactical counselor, and guides the agency’s overall policies, standards and practices. By virtue of having worked in nearly every segment of industry and commerce, Eric’s broad view benefits clients in their initial and ongoing strategic planning and tactical execution.

A proud graduate of Syracuse University (BA in English) and their S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications (MA, Mass Communications), Eric started at his agency in Syracuse in 1968, re-branded it Silverman & Mower in 1975 and then Eric Mower & Associates in 1980. On the agency’s 50th anniversary in 2018, it was renamed MOWER.

In 2012 and 2014, MOWER was named a “Best Place to Work” on Advertising Age’s ranking. Also, MOWER was named a “Top Place to Work in PR” by PR News and was named Agency of the Year by Bulldog Reporter. The agency’s work has been recognized in the Cannes Lion, Clio, One Show, Addy, PRSA Silver Anvil, ACE and B2B Awards.

Eric has provided distinguished service to a host of ad industry, business and community service organizations, including the Business Council of NY State, the 4A’s, AAF, The Council of Better Business Bureaus, The United Way of Central NY and he’s a Life Trustee of Syracuse University. His numerous awards include: ANA B2B Hall of Fame, Master Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young LLP, Syracuse University George Arents Pioneer Medal, Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year and the Humanitarian Award, Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The cost of the program is $125 per person (and $100 for additional attendees from the same agency).

We look forward to seeing you on October 16! Reserve your spot now!
