Firstborn Brings on Top Art Director and Senior Developer Talent

Strategic design and technology company, Firstborn, has brought on Thierry Ambraisse as Art Director and Owen van Dijk as Senior Developer.

Thierry hails from Paris where he established his career as a Designer and Art Director at the likes of Big Youth, Soleil Noir and Immersive Garden working across brands including Nespresso, Disney, Chanel, Dior and Baccarat. He later moved to London to step into his most recent role as a Creative Senior Designer at AKQA on the Nike account, working across Nike’s Training, ID and Olympic2k16 division, before heading to New York to join Firstborn.

Thierry holds a jury spot on The FWA and was named Best Visual Designer 2015 by the CSS Design Awards. He is also an accomplished lifestyle photographer for clients like Nike, Lancôme, NBA and Renault. His work can be viewed at www.hellothierry.com.

Owen has spent the last 15 years working as a Lead Creative Technologist prototyping concepts and ideas for brands including Adidas, Rolls Royce, Nivea, Microsoft and Toyota. Born in the Philippines and raised in Holland, Owen spent the last two years as Tech Lead at Imagination in London where he delivered bespoke software for Jaguar Land Rover’s global auto show program.

Prior he held the Senior Creative Technologist role at SID LEE in Amsterdam and Montreal working on global campaigns for Adidas, Absolut and Samsung. He has also spent time at BBH in London and dpdk in Rotterdam. Owen holds a Master’s Degree in Digital Media Management from creative business school Hyper Island.

Owen also founded the Adobe User Group Netherlands, which he oversaw from 2004-2014, and serves on the jury of the FWA. He’s been a speaker at conferences such as Adobe MAX and his work has been featured in Wired & Vice Magazine.
