Accenture measures people’s perceptions and experiences of their workplaces and identifies the factors that can foster a culture of equality in its annual Getting to Equal report. This year’s report focuses on workplace culture perception gap.
Accenture finds that “two-thirds of leaders (68% percent) feel they create empowering environments—in which employees can be themselves, raise concerns and innovate without fear of failure—but just one third (36 percent) of employees agree.”
The report states that empowering environment, bold leadership, and comprehensive action will create a culture where employees feel more included.
It also highlights the benefits of workplace equality: increased profits, boost in productivity, and higher retention.
