Horizon Media Vet Serena Duff Has Died

She helped the agency build up its Los Angeles office

Serena Duff, an executive at Horizon Media who has led the agency’s Los Angeles office for over a decade, died last Friday at the age of 54 after a long struggle with colon cancer. “Serena was a one-of-a-kind executive that touched everyone. Her last few years were a lesson to all in courage, strength, dignity, beauty and warmth,” Horizon Media founder and CEO Bill Koenigsberg said in a statement. “We have lost a very special person way, way too soon.” After arriving at Horizon to lead the Los Angeles office in 2009, Duff built it up into a billion-dollar entity, managing over 300 employees. She was recognized as one of Adweek’s 2016 Media All-Stars.
