El Segundo, CA – Ignited recently launched the 2020 Investor.gov Public Service Campaign on behalf of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Many investment scams involve unlicensed individuals or unregistered firms.
The Investor.gov Public Service Campaign empowers Main Street investors to take control of their financial future. The Public Service Campaign aims to remind Main Street investors to check to see if their Investment Professional is licensed or registered, and ensure they’re asking the right questions before investing. Investors can check out an Investment Professional’s background with a free, simple search on Investor.gov.
The campaign also highlights people from various walks of life asking questions about investing topics, such as stocks, bonds, IRAs, Ex-Dividend Dates, what questions to ask before hiring an investment professional, and how to ask the SEC a question.
The campaign is running on CNBC, HGTV, Golf Channel, American Forces Network, Hulu, SiriusXM, Pandora, NPR, Facebook and Instagram.
