Former LEVICK senior vice president expands Washington, D.C. office

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. and WASHINGTON – April 17, 2019 – Markstein, an independent, integrated communications agency, today announced that Jack Deschauer, a seasoned crisis communications and corporate affairs executive, has joined its Washington, D.C. office as strategic consultant.

Deschauer joins Markstein from LEVICK, where he spent seven years as a senior vice president, co-managing the corporate affairs practice and leading crisis teams. He has worked across numerous industries with high-level clients including CITGO Petroleum Corporation, Pratt & Whitney, the United States Olympic Committee, World TeamTennis, Carnival Cruise Lines, several subsidiaries of Ericsson and a variety of allied foreign nations of the United States. He previously spent 12 years with Qorvis Communications, where he worked on national communications programs for defense contractors; nutritional, health and wellness groups; as well as GQ and Scientific American magazines. Deschauer also has deep experience in sports PR and marketing.
