A Message from Incoming 4A’s CEO & President, Marla Kaplowitz

Hello 4A’s Members,

It’s been more than a month since the announcement of my appointment as the next President/CEO of the 4A’s. I realize there’s been great anticipation for someone new coming into the role since Nancy announced her departure last July.

I’m absolutely thrilled to take on the role and the exciting challenges ahead for our industry. I’ve spent my entire career at agencies — both full service and media. I’m incredibly passionate about our industry and this role allows me to take my commitment to a broader level. While I officially start on May 8th, I’ve been working with Nancy, Todd and the other 4A’s leaders to on-board and ensure a seamless transition.

As I considered the opportunity, I spent several months researching and learning even more about the organization. There’s a rich legacy — 100 years strong — providing an opportunity to forge the path for the next phase given the exciting pivot happening in marketing and communications.

The most important area of focus for me is you —- our member agencies: small, medium, large; creative, media, etc. The priority is to ensure that members derive tremendous insights and value. It’s all about influencing your business and delivering against your growth needs for today and into the future.

I enjoyed meeting many of you at the Transformation conference in Los Angeles and, if you were unable to catch my session with Bill Koenigsberg, we’ve made it available on the 4A’s website. I’m planning travel for the remainder of the year, identifying council and forum meetings to attend to meet you and hear your perspective on the evolving role of the 4A’s and the opportunities that lie ahead.

Best,
Marla Kaplowitz (Signature)
