This is a different kind of leadership learning opportunity, customized for you. It’s based on the premise that the only thing leaders have in common is that they have followers. In order to have people want to follow you, it is critical to develop, hone, and own your personal style of leadership. More than ever, having a human approach to leadership is critical. Knowing and understanding yourself is key, but that’s only part of the equation. The other component involves understanding and relating to your team so you can better inspire, motivate, and create success together.
The training will be conducted in 2 parts:
Part 1: This is a live 2-hour live group workshop led by Kristin Bloomquist of bloom mentoring.
Module 1: The broad concept of Leadership
Part 2: is either four or six 1:1, personalized mentoring sessions done remotely with Kristin. Each 1:1 session is 1 hour and will be scheduled weekly or bi-weekly. The focus of the class will be on understanding the role of a leader, the different types of leaders, and the critical attributes of effective leaders. The ongoing coaching will be all about you — working on developing your own style of leadership in order to increase your effectiveness. The coaching work will include some focus on the “softer skills” of leadership or what is often referred to as one’s Emotional Intelligence.
But again the focus is on what you need and want to work on most. The first step will be to define your personalized goals and what you want to get out of the mentoring sessions. Making progress on your goals will be our focus for the 1:1 sessions.
