The 4A’s Announces Board Shifts and Appointments

New York, NY – June 25, 2018 – The 4A’s, the leading trade organization for marketing communication agencies, today announced several notable shifts and appointments to its board of directors. Effective immediately, Sharon Napier, CEO of Partners + Napier, has moved from board secretary/treasurer to the co-vice chair role left vacant last year by Greg Stern, following the BSSP CEO’s appointment to 4A’s chairman. Christine Fruechte, CEO of Colle McVoy, replaces Napier as secretary/treasurer. Hearts & Science’s COO, Kathleen Brookbanks, continues her role as co-vice chair.

Napier, a longtime 4A’s board member, served as the board’s secretary/treasurer for over ten years. Fruechte has served on the 4A’s board for several years in addition to her role on the 4A’s finance committee and the 4A’s Foundation board.

Of the appointments, Stern said, “It’s been such a pleasure working with these remarkable leaders through what has been a transformational time at the 4A’s, during which we’ve instituted a new positioning, a new mission and a new vision for the association, in just this last year alone. Sharon has long been a pivotal contributor to the board; she is deeply committed to the success of the industry and the 4A’s. Christine has always provided thoughtful guidance through her commitment to improving the industry, as well as ensuring the 4A’s is a strong industry voice. I’m looking forward to continuing our work together with the 4A’s and its engaged board to keep the organization and the industry moving forward.”

In addition to the leadership appointments, the 4A’s board of directors has also welcomed several new members:

  • Marie-Claire Barker (Global Chief Talent Officer, Edelman) – director at large
  • Lou Aversano (CEO, Ogilvy USA) – director at large
  • Liz Ross (President & CEO, Periscope) – Central Region
  • Bob Morrison (Founder and CEO, Morrison) – Southern Region

The appointments underscore the board’s commitment to diversifying its makeup and bringing in new perspectives.
