Marian Williams Joins OKRP As Creative Director

Agency Builds Design Capability

CHICAGO, IL, September 5, 2017 – O’Keefe Reinhard & Paul is adding to its creative ranks with the hire of award-winning creative director and designer Marian Williams who is joining the agency as Creative Director. Williams is moving to the agency from her own branding and creative studio that she founded 9-years ago.

“Marian has both an incredible eye for design and a strong velvet touch when it comes to building and leading teams – we’re extremely happy she’s agreed to join us full time,” said Matt Reinhard. “With Marian on board, our goal is to continue to strengthen our visually-driven concepts and build out our design practice as a core creative differentiator. The addition of Marian Williams makes OKRP a better agency.”

Marian Williams Design has worked on behalf of many leading brands including Target, Kohler, Redbox, Nestle and others. Most recently, for Target, the agency conceived the brand’s online Cartwheel brand identity and user interface and collaborated with online platforms to create targeted digital ads and content.

“Starting Marian Williams Design was all about establishing my voice as a designer, and exploring the intersection of creative expression and strategic problem solving. But after 9 years, I’m excited to join the team at OKRP and use my passion for branding and visual expression to contribute to the agency and its clients’ successes. The work at OKRP is sharp, I love the culture and feel privileged to be a part of a progressive agency model.”

Marian started her advertising career at LBWorks a boutique agency within Leo Burnett. At Leo Burnett, she played an important role in strengthening its design competency, most notably, refreshing the Leo Burnett Worldwide identity to the iconic black pencil. She has also logged time at Euro RSCG and VSA Partners and was a founder member of Country Club Chicago a local art gallery and artist collaborative. Marian is a graduate of the University of Tennessee where she studied design, illustration and print making.
