We believe the most innovative brands win. That’s why our icon is the octopus. It’s the only organism on the planet that routinely edits its own genetic material to adapt, innovate, and thrive. It outsmarts the competition by constantly changing. It reinvents, repeats, reinvents, repeats. And so do we. MullenLowe U.S. has offices in Boston, NYC, LA and Winston-Salem, NC. Frank Cartagena
CEO
Frank joined MullenLowe U.S. as CEO in January 2024. Formerly a CCO, he has had a long, award-winning journey in the advertising world. Through hard work and creativity, he helped lead his teams from adversity and uncertainty to creating some of the industry’s best work, attracting world-class talent and high-profile brands to the agencies.
He has worked extensively with entertainment brands and franchises, including Netflix, Westworld, Game of Thrones, and Spotify, along with Gen Z–focused brands like Oreo. He has won a variety of Cannes Lions, One Show Pencils, Clios, ADCs, New York Festivals Awards, and Adweek Creative and Ad Age Creativity Awards throughout his career.
Over his career, Frank has moved across mediums and agencies, consistently creating cutting-edge work that received top honors at every place he worked. His ability to see possibilities where others may not and bring ideas to life with creative excellence has set him apart within the industry.
Jenn Wong
President, MullenLowe West
Jenn joins MullenLowe West with nearly two decades of experience leading teams at world-class agencies and brands, with a portfolio of work that has been recognized by the Effies, D&AD, Clios, Cannes Lions, and more.
Most recently, Jenn hails from SoundCloud, where she was global head of marketing, responsible for all global efforts in advertising, experiential, performance growth, and social/content marketing.
She has spent time leading teams on the agency side at Wieden+Kennedy on Nike and Converse, as well as Airbnb at TBWA\Chiat\Day. She has held pivotal brand-side marketing roles, notably at Gap Inc., where she was head of international marketing at Old Navy; 2K Games, where she was Director of Operations, APAC; Beats by Dre, where she had ownership of the global social media, content, and influencer marketing teams; and Curaleaf, where she led all integrated marketing efforts across 19 states.
Jenn is based in LA. She is a classically trained violinist who, when not working, spends most of her time with her husband, wrangling their two-year-old son, four-year-old Australian Shepherd, and a multitude of very elderly cats.
Jonny Gadd
Head of Strategy, MullenLowe East
As a creatively driven strategy leader, Jonny is proud to oversee a diverse team of strategists who live and breathe a rigorous and empathetic understanding of people and culture, to produce breakthrough work that’s awarded as much for its creativity as its effectiveness.
His 20+ years of experience have taught him that you only get to great work when you have really strong relationships between strategists, creatives, and clients, as well as the importance of creating the right conditions for the work to thrive.
Jonny’s work has been awarded Cannes Lions, Effies, and the Jay Chiat Award for Strategic Excellence. But he secretly has a bit of disdain for these awards. He thinks they are nowhere near as rewarding as getting a talented and relentlessly focused bunch of people together to solve a problem in a new and creative way.
When he’s not working, he can be found on epically long mountain trail runs and trying to understand his strange obsession with Shirley Bassey.
Donesh Olyaie
Head of Strategy, MullenLowe West
Donesh Olyaie returns to the agency side as head of strategy, where he connects meaningful business challenges to creative solutions using culture as a bridge. Olyaie spent the last few years as director of strategy at Keurig Dr Pepper’s internal creative marketing unit, Liquid Sunshine. Prior to that, he was at Deutsch LA, heading up planning teams for clients such as PetSmart, Nintendo and Angel Soft. Olyaie spent nearly a decade at David & Goliath developing data-driven strategies for Kia, Jack in the Box, LG Mobile and Universal Studios. He was instrumental in Kia’s rebrand, which positioned the company as a global leader in electrification, and Jack in the Box’s introduction into the social realm.
Tim Vaccarino
Creative Director, MullenLowe East
Tim is our ECD overseeing the creative output in the east. Over the last 15 years he developed and grew a creative culture across all three offices, starting in Boston then establishing and building out both NY and LA. He creates lasting partnerships with both brands and clients through effective, relevant and culturally resonant work. Work for brands like (JetBlue, Etrade, Google, Burger King, Acura, American Greetings, Grey Goose, Royal Caribbean, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Hyatt, Change The Ref and others). Prior to her new role as ECD at MullenLowe West, Kohnen was SVP Group Creative Director at Deutsch on Taco Bell. There, she spearheaded innovative campaigns that garnered widespread recognition including Mexican Pizza: The Musical featuring Dolly Parton, launching their first-ever global campaign and the brand’s Doja Cat X Mexican Pizza partnership.
