Overview
Company Summary
At BBDO our mission is to create and deliver the world’s most compelling commercial content. We are driven by an obsessive focus on The Work, The Work, The Work. Work that changes consumer behavior and leads to financial reward for our clients. BBDO is the world’s most awarded advertising agency. With 15,000 employees in 289 offices across 81 countries, it is the second largest global advertising agency network - and the largest in the U.S. - with headquarters in New York. The agency began in 1891 with George Batten’s Batten Company, and later in 1928, through a merger of BDO (Barton, Durstine & Osborn) and Batten Co., the agency became BBDO. BBDO Atlanta is built to be the type of agency clients love: a blend of creativity and effectiveness. We generate big creative ideas and measure them in our in-house data modeling group, The Worth.

Robin Fitzgerald
EVP, Chief Creative Officer
Robin came to BBDO Atlanta from Crispin Porter + Bogusky, where she led high-profile work for brands including Netflix, Old Navy, Grey Poupon, and PayPal, including the brand's first-ever Super Bowl ad.
Prior to CP&B, she worked at TBWA/Chiat/Day, L.A., on brands such as Energizer, Gatorade and Nissan. She started her advertising career in Nebraska as a copywriter at Bozell, after graduating from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
Peter Bunarek
Managing Director
Peter knows what keeps CMOs awake at night, because, well, that’s what kept him awake for the past 20 years. His career spans both the agency and client sides, across every conceivable segment, from retail to nonprofit, healthcare to beverages, travel to outdoor recreation, automotive to agriculture. Regardless of segment, Peter knows agencies are at their best when creatively solving complex business problems and doing it fast. Peter joined BBDO ATL in 2005 and leads our account management team. He instills in them a knack for business and marketing strategy, a passion for data and analytics, and a love for creativity. Peter is intimately involved in every one of our accounts.
Originally from Michigan, Peter has embraced his inner southerner after moving to Atlanta several years ago. His love for seersucker is eclipsed only by his love of bowties. And white bucks. Wait, and linen.
Tricia Russo
EVP, Chief Strategy Officer
Tricia began her career at Chiat\Day in LA and NY, where she worked with some of the best in the business, igniting her passion for getting to big strategic ideas that connect culturally. She identifies actionable consumer insights and translates them into game-changing creative inspiration that lives across platforms, ultimately creating success for clients. Tricia emphasizes deep relationships with her clients, helping them reframe their issues and build fresh creative solutions. Her philosophy is always to build strategy through the lens of creativity. Tricia has spent time at agencies big and small around the country including Angotti Thomas Hedge and Ogilvy & Mather in NY, and Leo Burnett, Cramer-Krasselt, and Y&R in Chicago.
With crazy four-year-old twin boys and a crazy husband who works as a creative director at another ad agency, Tricia strives to be the least crazy person in her house but seldom succeeds at this.
David Sackin
EVP, Insights & Analytics
With more than 20 years of marketing and research experience, David helps ensure that our programs are working as efficiently and effectively as possible for our clients. As managing director of The Worth, David leads BBDO North America's analytics consultancy, housed within BBDO ATL. He previously co-led McKinsey's Customer Insights Practice and has conducted research for Michelin, Nestlé, Nike, P&G, Best Buy, the U.S. Postal Service, and Miller Brewing, among others. David guides client and client-service teams to uncover business-impacting insights for creative strategy development and marketing spend optimization.
David has visited 45 countries, but was detained in only Azerbaijan and Canada. He invented something even more well-traveled: the Forever Stamp, while consulting with the U.S. Post Office.
Sara Jones
EVP, Chief Financial Officer
Behind the stellar work at any great agency is someone who makes sure everything is operating like clockwork, so that work flows, bills are paid, and details are handled. At BBDO ATL, that person is Sara. With more than 25 years of experience, 14 of those spent at BBDO ATL, she is responsible for all of the agency’s financial operations, overseeing an exceptional team whose job is to manage hundreds of millions of dollars in annualized client billings and vendor payments. Sara is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and her professional volunteer activities include serving as vice president and secretary for Financial Executives International, Atlanta Chapter.
Sara is a serial do-it-yourselfer. Whether it’s kitchen cabinets, a staircase, or a backyard pergola, she applies her sense of vintage craft. She also loves gardening, offshore saltwater fishing, and spending time with her family.
Debbie Lindner
EVP, Chief People Officer
Debbie’s goal is to recruit the most talented people in the business and do everything in her power to keep them, celebrate them, support them, and nurture them. Her compassion and intuitiveness have played a huge role in the fact that the Atlanta Business Chronicle named BBDO ATL one of the Top 10 Best Places to Work in Atlanta. Debbie joined the BBDO Atlanta family in 1990 as Human Resources Manager. Today, she manages four departments at the agency: human resources, office management, information systems, and administrative services. Debbie is also an esteemed member of the Human Resources Management Team for BBDO North America.
Debbie is passionate about fitness. When she’s not weight training or doing trail runs in the pre-dawn hours, she’s whipping the agency into shape at our fitness center. Her motto is, "Healthy minds and bodies make for energized employees."
