Ed Bennett
Executive Design Director
Ed transformed the design division at Colle McVoy into one of the most prominent in the country by living according to two simple rules: never run out of ideas and have an amazing smile.
Ed doesn’t believe in having a specific design style; rather, he thinks a brand's style should lead to its own unique look, feel and behavior. This design philosophy has helped modernize brands, allowing them to recapture their essence.
He has an incredible breadth and depth of design expertise stemming from his experience with brands including Target, U.S. Bank, Red Wing Shoe Company, Johnson & Johnson, Indian Motorcycle, UnitedHealth Group and Caribou Coffee. And he has a talented stable of designers working with him. Together, they have received national and international recognition for their work, including awards from D&AD, AIGA, The One Show and Communication Arts.
Kristin Woxland
Managing Director and EVP, Account Management
As managing director of 10 Thousand Design, Kristin oversees the strategic direction and growth of the brand design firm, champions strong client relationships and empowers high-performing teams to deliver transformational work.
With two decades of brand-building experience, Kristin is regarded as a business-minded creative problem-solver who can effectively lead cross-functional teams. She believes the best creative ideas are fueled by human insights and brand truths. And with the pace of change in our industry, radical collaboration with a diversity of thinkers and makers is more important than ever.
And Kristin’s extensive brand and retail design experience includes current partnerships with Target, U.S. Bank in-branch merchandising, Schwan’s Home Delivery, and UnitedHealth Group and previous work with brands like Caribou Coffee, Burger King and Mayo Clinic.
Katie Hartman
VP, Group Account Director
Katie is a strategic marketer with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for helping brands and businesses transform through creative problem-solving. Her team leadership, collaborative mindset and drive for creating innovative solutions help move our clients’ businesses forward.
Katie has 15 years of experience in brand and digital marketing, advertising, and agency operations, including account service and business development. As a strategic marketer, she’s worked with leading consumer packaged goods, finance, retail, health care, hospitality and technology brands such as Target, U.S. Bank, Dole Food Company, Intel Corporation, Microsoft, Sprint, Amazon, Nordstrom, Wells Fargo and eBay.
Sam Soulek
VP, Group Design Director
Sam is a Minnesota native who grew up fishing, doodling and building forts in the woods. He left his beloved rural hometown for the creative metroplex of the Twin Cities. Sam is designer, illustrator and brand builder. The work he does varies greatly depending on the need, but he consistently grounds his creative process on strategic insight. Whether reviving a classic brand or getting a new business off the ground, Sam helps companies find their unique story and build a design infrastructure to tell that story. He has worked with many notable client partners, including Apple, Nike, MinuteClinic, Indian Motorcycle, Red Bull, Esquire magazine, Target and Purina.
John Doyle
EVP, Brand Experience Design
ohn thrives on helping brands make the most sense of today’s complex world and use that understanding to develop an advantage over the competition.
As executive director of brand experience, John is responsible for the development and creation of cohesive brand experiences across marketing disciplines. He also invents and reinvents new mediums to drive business growth for our clients.
John hails from Chicago, where he led strategy, digital, social, media, experiential and content creation teams at several noted agencies. He has more than 15 years of multi-channel experience working with many admired brands, including American Airlines, Bank of America, Best Buy, Coca-Cola, Edward Jones, Hilton Worldwide, Ingersoll Rand, Kellogg’s, Kohler, Porsche, Quaker, Samsung and Under Armour, among others. His work has been recognized by the Effie Awards, Communication Arts, FWA, the OMMA Awards and the Webby Awards.
