We help you craft and launch the identity and experiences your business needs to win in today’s digital-first economy and nstead of chasing awards and vanity metrics, we prefer to focus on your and your results. We refer to our area of specialization as brand experience transformation. What the heck is that? Well, it falls into two buckets: The first is brand design & development where we innovate and renovate brand narratives and expressions. The other is brand experience delivery which includes the creation and delivery of brand experiences that engage, retain, and convert. We look to partner with marketers who believe in the power of creativity, design thinking, and technology to unlock growth, and when we find them, we do everything possible to keep those relationships for the long term.

Pete Sena
Founder & Chief Creative Officer
Pete Sena is the founder and Chief Creative Officer of Digital Surgeons, a forward-obsessed brand experience consultancy. Digital Surgeons is headquartered in the 106,000-square-foot innovative, creative coworking ecosystem District, also co-founded by Pete.

Pete builds and leads cross-functional teams that deliver innovative, bottom-line boosting activations and multi-channel programs. Over the past 20 years, he’s worked with venture-backed startups to the world’s leading brands such as Unilever, PepsiCo, Walmart, Google, GE, LEGO, American Express, Epic Games, and many more. Pete’s teams create award-winning work for innovators, from Lady Gaga to United Technologies and the US Open. Pete has helped to collectively raise more than $100 million for various client partners over the years.

A human-centered problem solver, Pete focuses on the behaviors and systems that drive people, products, and experiences. He designs demand by relentlessly exploring the interplay of connection, curiosity, and creativity to help companies of all shapes, sizes, and business life stages optimize their potential.

Pete is the co-founder and co-host of The Forward Obsessed Podcast and has spoken at many industry-leading events surrounding topics that include branding, marketing innovation, strategy, web3, digital transformation, creative leadership, and more.

Pete lives in southern Connecticut with his wife and son and loves exploring the possibilities of how design and technology can dance with one another to shape the music of societies and businesses.

Mike Raleigh
President
Mike Raleigh is President at Digital Surgeons, a forward-obsessed brand experience consultancy focused on designing demand for their clients. Focused on vision creation and organizational transformation, Mike leads the growth and operations of the business.

A results-driven marketing leader with over 20 years of industry experience, Mike’s expertise spans multiple disciplines across categories including beverage, CPG, luxury, financial services, and travel for Fortune 500 brands such as CoverGirl, Guinness, Callaway Golf, American Airlines, and Caesars Entertainment.

Mike has held leadership roles on the North American Leadership Team at WPP agencies Grey Group and Ogilvy/Geometry, leading award-winning teams to secure multiple Cannes Lions, Effies, Clio Awards, Reggie’s, and Webby Awards wins. Most recently, Mike enjoyed a stint building new skills in the start-up world leading the pivot of a privately held local content publishing business from a media sponsorship model to B2B marketing solution provider. Here he looked after marketing, sales, and client success.

A husband and proud dad of two daughters, Mike served his country for five years in the United States Navy where he jumped out of perfectly good airplanes almost 47 times. He’s also a long-suffering New York Jets fan.

Joe Pilcavage
Chief Experience Officer
An ambitious, high-energy design leader with an insatiable hunger for challenge and passion for creative problem solving, Joe serves as the Chief Experience Officer at US-based design consultancy, Digital Surgeons, where he's focused on building award-winning creative teams, launching new digital brand experiences, and helping client partners at some of the world's largest organizations explore new ways to grow their business.

In addition to his role at Digital Surgeons, he's also working to help reimagine the future learning for emerging leaders and marketing professionals – serving as an advisor to early-stage startups through various CT-based accelerator programs, an adjunct professor for the Masters program in Jack Welch School of Business at Sacred Heart University, and Co-Founder of ThinkFWD, a community, and curriculum dedicated to teaching working professionals how to leverage the principles of design thinking to drive innovation inside of their organizations.

Other facts/points of interest:

Joe is a member of the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts, where he’s actively serving on the jury for several professional creative award shows including the W3s, Daveys, and Communicator Awards.

Joe has been the recipient of over two-dozen national and international design awards (so far!) spanning branding, packaging, and digital experience design.

In his personal life, Joe is a semi-professional, competitive gamer, musician, and dad of 4 where he spends his free time coaching soccer/baseball teams, doing martial arts, and entrenching himself in the world of esports.

Fun fact: He’s also an officially registered “Lord” where he occasionally participates in full-armored medieval combat (seriously!).
