Matt Donovan
EVP, Managing Director
Matt has recently joined as the EVP, Managing Partner for McCann NY, leading day-to-day operations for the agency.
He spent the past 9 years at Euro RSCG in senior strategy roles in Australia, Asia Pacific and New York, most recently as Global CSO for Digital and Social Media for IBM, and digital strategy leader for North America. Prior to that he launched FCBi Australia, the digital arm of FCB, and Euro's brand consulting arm Euro RSCG Leap in New York.
Additional experience includes IBM, Dell, Intel, Sandisk, 3Com/Palm, Orange Telecommunications, Panasonic, and Samsung.
He lives with his wife, and son in New York.
Linus Karlsson
Chairman & Cheif Creative Officer
Linus Karlsson, one of the advertising industry's most respected and honored creative executives, joined McCann Erickson in February 2011 as Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of McCann's New York and London agencies. Linus joined McCann from Mother NY, which he co-founded in 2003, and which was named Creativity's Agency of the Year in 2009. The honor was based on the agency's innovative business model and groundbreaking work for clients such as Target, J&J, Stella Artois, Dell, NBC, Coke and Cadbury.
Linus began his advertising career as a founding member of Paradiset, a Swedish start-up agency later acquired by DDB. There, he was part of the team that created the celebrated campaign for Diesel Jeans, which went on to win a Grand Prix at Cannes, and later was inducted into the Clio Hall of Fame. In 1996, Linus moved to Fallon in the U.S, working on accounts such as Miller Lite, Virgin Mobile, United Airlines, BMW and MTV. Seven years later, he opened the doors of Mother, NY.
As a globalist, Linus has deeply immersed himself in both U.S and European business communities, attracting talent and inspiring diversity of thinking. In addition to his creative roles in New York and London, Linus is a member of McCann's Creative Leadership Collective, charged with designing and implementing a new creative measurement standard for work, and raising the standards of creative excellence across the world.
In addition to his Cannes and Creativity magazine honors, Linus has won numerous Gold in Cannes as well as in most top global creative festivals. He created one of the "20 best American ad campaigns ever" (for MTV), according to Creativity Magazine, which also named him as one of the "50 most influential creative people in the world", and the Museum of Modern Art has selected his work for their archives.

President, North America
Hank Summy, one of the industry’s most well-regarded digital marketing executives, joined McCann Erickson North America as President in October 2011, with management oversight for McCann agencies across the U.S. and Canada and an initial focus on McCann’s flagship New York office. Along with the established leadership team, his responsibility is to deliver the highest standards of creative excellence, strategic innovation, digital velocity and performance measurement.
