Twitter’s Shopping family has been growing over the past year with product launches like Live Shopping, the Shop Spotlight, Shopping Manager and Twitter Shops. And recently we added Product Drops and the Product Details Page to our shopping ecosystem. We got some great press coverage from TechCrunch, Mashable, Adweek and others. This new pilot feature allows merchants to announce product launches, keep shoppers in the loop by receiving reminders, and have an easier path to purchase.

Why shopping?

There’s a massive opportunity for businesses to build their brand loyalty, engage with their community, and move products faster all on Twitter. We also know that the shopping conversation and engagement is inherent to Twitter. With Product Drops we’re excited to empower shoppers to stay on top of the launches that matter most to them and provide merchants with another way to showcase their goods and engage shoppers around big product moments.

Who’s participating already?

We’re testing Product Drops on iOS devices in the US with a few brands this summer, including Dior, Fossil, LEGO, Union, Home Depot, and more.

How can clients get involved?

We are still accepting nominations for this test. If you’re interested, please review our Shopping Policies and contact your account team for further support.
