On June 22nd The 4As Talent Matters Forum hosted their Mid Level Managers: The Crucial Link webinar.
Mid Level Managers are crucial for your agency’s operations, culture, and overall success. As COVID-19 has changed the way we work, mid level managers are truly stuck in the middle. Bridging the divide between C-suite and more junior-level employees, they’re instrumental in supporting company productivity and team culture.
These team members wear a lot of hats. And the constant pressure of switching between the role of a supervisor and the role of a subordinate can take its toll. Whether they line up as group account directors, ACDs, AMDs, or any other functions, they are the undeniable link between the C-suite’s goals and strategies and the employees who execute them.
As so many shops are painfully aware, this same group is among the most likely to look elsewhere when they don’t feel their career, job, or personal needs are being addressed.
The Great Resignation, or “Great Reassessment” as we like to call it, has opened leaders’ eyes about the strategic partnership they need with their mid level management. Retaining and strengthening that group means giving them:
- Freedom To: act with autonomy, drive change, advocate & grow
- Freedom From: obstacles, constraints, and excessive bureaucracy
Interested in embracing some new perspectives, and strengthening your agency’s culture so mid level managers are further incentivized to stay?
The 4As Talent Matters Forum is a program that enables agency talent leaders to hear from their peers who have successfully dealt with the challenges facing agencies today. Featured speakers and panelists are representatives of 4As agencies who’ve been able to contend with challenges and achieve impressive results in these areas. Discussion will focus on the strategies and approaches these agencies have used in their efforts, and helpful insights about what they’ve learned along the way.
