ProQuest is a database of articles from newspapers, trade, and regional publications on tons of topics and is a great tool to:
First Research reports from Dun & Bradstreet contain overviews, competitive landscapes and SWOT analyses on hundreds of industries. There are two ways to find the reports on the ProQuest database, which you can access here:
Method #1: Above the search boxes on the ProQuest homepage, click on the link that says Browse.
Scroll down a bit to get to First Research.
This link will take you to an alphabetical list of reports. It’s the easiest way, but they tend to nest reports under others in a way that’s not always intuitive, so if you don’t see the report you want, try Method #2 below.
Method #2: In the first search box on the ProQuest homepage, type (in quotes): “First Research” and select Publication Title from the drop-down box on the right. In the second row, just type in a key word or phrase that would likely appear in any report about the industry you want, or the name of the most prominent company in the industry.
Hit Search and you’ll see a list of titles from which you can retrieve the most current pertinent report.
