Lucien has spent the past 25 years building big-time brands – across all aspects of strategy, research, positioning, naming, architecture, cultural relevance and go-to-market strategy; often at the vanguard of creative, digital and marketing innovation, for some of the most forward-thinking agencies in the industry.
A seasoned marketing veteran and key client advisor, comfortable from the C-suite to the creative studio, Lucien is known for providing inspirational strategic leadership to multidisciplinary teams, most recently as R/GA New York’s Head of Strategy, where he was instrumental in defining and expressing the core questions, perspectives and frameworks that successfully addressed a number of Fortune 100 companies’ corporate, product and platform-level marketing ambitions and opportunities.
His agency credentials also include strategy leadership roles at Havas, Salt Branding, CBX as well as deep naming and verbal brand development experience from his time at global consultancies Futurebrand and Interbrand (where notably, Lucien created the now ubiquitous name ‘Wi-Fi’).
The son of a career diplomat, Lucien has extensive travel experience including residing in Cameroon, France, Belgium, Canada and several major cities in the US.
Fluent in French, he holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Montréal’s McGill University, and a Master of Science degree from San Francisco State University.
