Bank of America explores attitudes, behaviors, and preferences of the modern homebuyer in its annual report.

This year’s edition highlights that Gen Z and Millennials are prioritizing buying a home and making compromises to make it happen, like taking on extra jobs and living with family or friends while they wait to purchase a home.

The report also finds the impact severe weather and natural disasters are having on homeownership; 38% of survey respondents have changed their preferred location due to risk of sever weather.

Bank of America released its On the Move: More Movers, Fewer Homebuyers report in coordination with the Homebuyer Insights Report. It finds that the number people moving has increased the first time in four years and that movers are migrating to regions and cities with less expensive housing costs.
