On February 10, 2022, The 4As Florida Council Board of Governors held a 4As member-exclusive special presentation for agency leaders, managers, and staff in the Florida Council area.
COVID-19 has changed the way we work, and the way we think about work. The pandemic prompted a massive movement towards remote work, leading companies to quickly embrace a new hybrid environment.
The shift to hybrid work is inevitable. While it carries beneficial opportunities to prioritize people’s skills over their geography, it creates brand new challenges for attracting and retaining talent. The advertising industry, like nearly every other sector, is facing a candidate’s marketplace where there are frequently more job openings than candidates to fill them. Top talent is being lured away to platforms, consultancies, and other organizations. Significant demographic and societal shifts are rewriting the rules for how candidates, and current employees, view the employee experience.
While there’s no silver bullet, our panelists today share several things in common: they’re rethinking their approach to effective outreach and recruitment; they’re reconsidering how to share company culture with remote and hybrid employees alike; and they’re revising their strategies for fostering inclusion, providing meaningful growth, addressing mental health, and avoiding burnout – all in a hybrid world.
The 4As Talent Matters Forum is a program that enables agency talent leaders to hear from their peers who have successfully dealt with the challenges facing agencies today. Featured speakers and panelists are representatives of 4As agencies who’ve been able to contend with challenges and achieve impressive results in these areas. The discussion will focus on the strategies and approaches these agencies have used in their efforts and helpful insights about what they’ve learned along the way.
