Former CEO of We Are Unlimited in Chicago and Velocity in New York City
The 4A’s is pleased to announce that Brian Nienhaus has joined the Member Engagement + Development team as SVP–Central Region.
Nienhaus joins the 4A’s after five years at Omnicom, most recently leading a team managing Johnson & Johnson’s consumer portfolio including Beauty, Wound Care, and the J&J Baby brand.
As CEO of We Are Unlimited, Nienhaus led the McDonald’s business across the integrated Omnicom team, The Marketing Store, and the many essential partners that formed the new agency model. After leading the winning team that won the consolidated account, Nienhaus led the ramp-up of a bespoke agency with more than 200 teammates and broke new ground in collaboration models and data-led strategy and delivered integrated solutions that ran from social media content to CRM programs and from tray liners to Super Bowl spots.

Nienhaus has led integrated teams that span digital, social, sponsorships, and traditional advertising, working across multiple sister agencies and external partners. Before Unlimited, Nienhaus led the AT&T corporate brand and Business Solutions accounts, which include a broad group of marketing assignments targeting small businesses and large enterprise, as well as programs supporting the many AT&T sports and entertainment franchises, including the Olympics.
Previously, Nienhaus led Team Sprint at Publicis, an integrated, digitally led, data-informed team devoted to Sprint communications, and was account management practice lead for Digitas Chicago. Before Digitas, he spent six years with independent agency Cramer-Krasselt, leading accounts including Hilton, Hyatt, Zantac, Glaxo, Merck, and UnderArmour.
Nienhaus holds an MBA from Purdue University and a B.A. from Michigan State University.
