Applicants must be available for either an in-person or hybrid fellowship program (partially virtual, partially in-person).
Internship placements aren’t always guaranteed, as host companies have limited roles to fill for the summer, so we highly encourage all who apply to do their best to stand out within their application, especially through the video and the essay responses.
Full-time positions may be offered to MAIP Fellows following the summer; however, this is on a case-by-case basis determined by the host company.

Some host companies may choose to offer travel and accommodations as part of their internship. Travel and accommodations are not guaranteed if you are selected as a finalist. There may be opportunities for financial assistance. Please contact us at [email protected] for additional information.
Discipline placement for the summer varies based on interest and skill set. While candidates are able to select their first and second choices, we encourage a full exploration across all of the different internship disciplines.

One of the best things about MAIP is the chance to explore! If you’re unsure of what role/discipline would be best, think about the different skills you want to develop and get exposure to. For example, if you see yourself working with people daily, solving problems across various teams, and have worked on your college magazine, you might be a good match for an account management/client services internship, or you could thrive in Public Relations. Even if you’ve had past internships in account management, take a chance on something new like PR.
Being open-minded to exploring disciplines is a great example of the curiosity that may unlock opportunities you haven’t yet considered.
MAIP Fellowship cohorts vary in size each year, depending on how many host organizations offer internships. Typically, there are about 300-400 applicants every year for MAIP. The program is competitive. Make sure to put your best foot forward!
All students will complete one round of interviews with a MAIP Alumni after submitting their application.
