Archer Malmo Honored in Eight Categories at the 2015 PRSA Memphis VOX Awards

Memphis, TN – October 23, 2015 – Archer Malmo was recognized by the Memphis Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) at its annual VOX Awards Oct. 22, receiving five VOX awards and four Gold awards.

The agency’s PR department won the VOX, the highest award granted in its category, for the following programs:

  • Campaigns – Marketing Communication/Promotion (Products): Varsity Spirit “American Cheerleader” movie promotion
  • Campaigns – Marketing Communication/Promotion (Services): Terminix Mosquito Service Launch
  • Editorial Submission: nexAir contributed editorial content to CryoGas International
  • Print Tactics (One-Time Special Publication): Varsity Brands white paper
  • Special Events – Two Days to Three Days: Varsity Spirit National High School Cheerleading Championship

Gold awards were also received for the following campaigns:

  • Campaigns – Community Relations: Media Outreach for Literacy Mid-South’s Half a Million Book Drive
  • Campaigns – Community Relations: Media Outreach for the Tennessee Wine & Spirits Retailer’s Association “Wine in Grocery Stores” Bill
  • Campaigns – Media Relations (Single Project): Start Co. Demo Day
  • Integrated Communications: Terminix Ambush Makeover Sweepstakes/Mosquito Service promotion/use of celebrity spokesperson

The PRSA VOX Awards is an annual awards event honoring the exceptional work of Memphis’ public relations professionals. Hosted by the PRSA Memphis Chapter, the awards program recognizes the highest standard of excellence by those who represent and are the guardians of their company’s brand and message. The VOX award symbolizes the best of the best in public relations tactics and campaigns. There were nearly 60 entries from companies, agencies and organizations across the Mid-South. The entries were judged by the Little Rock chapter of PRSA.

The agency was also recently honored with a Silver Davey Award for its work on the SaveMyRoad.com website for Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions, Inc. The Davey Awards are sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising and marketing firms. Earlier this year, the agency was also recognized by the American Advertising Federation with awards at the local, district and national levels, as well as the National Agri-Marketing Association.
