Conference Overview
The 2008 Account Planning Conference will provide a dynamic conversation about Crafting Concepts and Content.
As strategists, our role as account planners is, and has always been, to inspire, nurture, create, steward, understand and evaluate concepts. The search for insight and ideas is constant and we must continually find ways to inspire ourselves, our colleagues and our brands to find them, understand them and make them real.
Concepts are our ideas. They are the currency of our conversations everyday and, at their best the impetus for our brand and the cultural impact the can create.
Concepts and ideas help create the content of the world through the brands we touch. In a world where content creation, circulation and conversation is open, dynamic, constant and egalitarian, we need to stay ahead to ensure the actual stuff we make is as breakthrough and evocative as it can be.
Content is the stuff: it’s everything from intellectual property to strategies to creative to media (that we create and buy), to engagement to stores and other physical manifestations….and beyond. We should be redefining content far beyond the creative, but it is typically brought to life through the ‘crafts’ of creativity that go beyond the ad agency walls – whether that’s’ design, architecture/store experience, media, digital.
Through inspiration from the non-advertising world via innovative concept and content creators and cultural experts, through break-out training sessions that will teach the crafts required, our conference is positioned as the continuation of the planning experience and the beginning of the next conversation and future of planning. Join us at the 2008 Account Planning Conference and be part of the conversation.
