MAIP Named Top 2017 Diversity Summer Internship Program By BlackNews.com!

MAIP_master_logo_vertical_RGBOver 40 years ago, the 4A’s MAIP (Multicultural Advertising Intern Program) introduced 10 diverse young professionals to the world of advertising.

These individuals initiated MAIP’s legacy of supplying the industry with world-class multicultural talent, influencing all facets of our community. Today, MAIP has evolved into a 22-week talent development, impacting the lives of more than 120 young leaders each year by providing a platform to launch their careers.

By combining real-world work experience, training and development, and networking opportunities within the industry, MAIP participants gain a valuable professional credential to better position themselves in the marketplace. Simultaneously, the program offers advertising agencies the opportunity to access top talent and strengthens the 4A’s efforts to enhance the workforce diversity of our industry.

At its core, MAIP is a talent development program dedicated to our industry and created by our industry. The moment MAIP fellows are selected they begin cultivating tangible, transferable skill-sets through Spring Training, a 12 week virtual series; connecting with their MAIP mentor(s); and collaborating with cross-national teams on a project brief. Throughout the summer, fellows placed in major markets participate in agency sponsored professional development workshops and seminars, which provide a deeper dive into the various advertising and media disciplines. The workshops also grant fellows the opportunity to learn more about the host agency’s culture through networking with agency professionals post-workshop and agency tours.

At the end of the summer, all fellows convene in NYC at The Face of Talent, which provides a platform for them to capstone their experience, connect with agency executives and HR leaders at an exclusive career fair, and a glimpse into their future as MAIP alumni. Upon completion of the program, fellows become members of the MAIP Alumni Association, a close-knit family of over 2,700 MAIP graduates that fosters the development of future MAIP fellows as well as the professional development of the program’s alumni.
