Technologist and Start-Up Veteran, Husani Oakley, Joins Deutsch as SVP, Director of Technology

February 12, 2018 – New York, NY – With nearly fifteen years of building, creating and developing world-class digital experiences, Husani Oakley has joined Deutsch’s New York office as SVP, Director of Technology, where he will work across clients including AB InBev, PNC Bank, Siemens, and DraftKings, among others.

Oakley joins Deutsch from start-up online investing platform GoldBean, where he was Chief Technology Officer, helping to build and direct the product, as well as hiring and managing the engineering team. Oakley will report directly to Winston Binch, Chief Digital Officer of North America. His first day was February 1, 2018.

“We’re big believers in the power of technology to build brands. Having world-class tech leaders in our organization is mission critical, particularly rare talents like Husani who understand tech start-up, creative, and marketing culture,” noted Binch. “He’s a huge value add as we look to help our clients navigate the ever-changing technology and media landscape.”

“Change is constant, but change for the better requires a nimble culture and a willingness to take risks. I’m excited to join an agency that’s just as agile-and fearless-as the start-ups I’ve run and advised,” said Oakley.

Prior to GoldBean, Oakley was Wieden + Kennedy’s Director of Creative Technology, working on brands including Nike, Heineken, Target, and Delta, and building a team of creative-minded developers, hackers and digital thinkers. In 2011, Oakley founded – and was CEO of – digital agency Oakley + Partners, working with clients and agencies including Disney, Google, Cutwater and Droga5.
