Spotting the Next Generation of Multicultural Talent, MV 42 Degrees Inaugurates the Multicultural Media Talent Pipeline

Hosted by the New York Times on Friday, October 7, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM

Whether it’s the limited job market or the inability to break into an industry built on relationships, multicultural aspiring graduates face challenges when trying to join the media business. Ironically, with the multicultural group being 34 percent of the total population, marketers more than ever recognize the importance to reaching these consumers. But who better to market to a multicultural nation then multicultural people themselves? In an attempt to bridge the talent gap, the leading multicultural agency, MV 42°, is launching the Multicultural Media Talent Pipeline (MMTP)—an annual one day educational immersion into the media business.

MV42°/MediaVest Multicultural has gathered some of the best companies in the media industry to partner in launching the MMTP. The annual event is a learning and networking forum for graduates coming from participating colleges and universities to New York City during Advertising Week. Industry leaders will give a real-world perspective on all the key areas of the business including media strategy, planning buying, digital, content and multicultural. The main goal is to close the talent gap and build the pipeline for the next generation of multicultural talent for the media industry.
