The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) examines how people engage with their local park, as well as the importance of public parks and recreation facilities in people’s lives.

Study findings include:

• Barriers preventing increased park usage
• Ways people learn about parks
• Importance of parks in creating community
• Public support for local park and recreation departments.

Various demographic breakouts—generation, ethnicity, family, region—are included.
